Michael Amine, RFC
Mike Amine’s greatest achievement is to have the people he manages or mentors develop into successful leaders, producers and individuals who make a difference.
Mike was born in Lebanon and raised in Warren, Mich. He began his career with New England Financial A MetLife Company in 1989 shortly after completing a bachelor’s degree in sports management, communication and marketing from the University of Michigan.
In 2001, Mike became a managing associate. He seized the opportunity to coach and develop people into a winning team as he worked his way up to managing partner. As a leader, he takes pride in others’ success and is determined to always serve, give 100 percent and make a difference in every aspect of his life.
This determination has paid off. Mike has qualified for the Million Dollar Round Table and was elected to the NAIFA Greater Detroit Board of Directors. For New England Financial, Mike was the Top Field Manager Class of 2001 and Managing Associate of the Year Nominee (2003). He has since won Chairman’s Council Agency (2007–08) and Firm of the Year (2008). He has also won three Agency Builders and Top Recruiters Awards.
Mike describes his management style as direct, open, passionate and influential. He challenges everyone to give and expect the best of themselves every day. He stresses teamwork, character, excellence and service.
Mike’s approach, and his career, have benefited from the influence of visionaries Lisa Weber and Mike Vietri and great field partners Brian Breneman and Mike Foxen. Mike also cites Joe Naselli, Vince Lombardi, Dave Porter and Lou Aidala as strong influences. And Rob Lester is Mike’s go-to big brother.
His parents, along with numerous authors, taught Mike to appreciate the need to continuously grow and evolve into something better. He makes every effort to have a positive impact on the world, using every last ounce of energy to serve people and his family. “Always remember, your producer is your No. 1 client,” he advises his fellow field leaders. “This is who you serve, this is who you influence.”
Mike and his wife, Marcy have three children: Marissa, Malik and Myles. Mike enjoys art, history, cooking, travel, reading and motivational speaking. A winning wrestler in college, he was an alternate for the 1992 U.S. Olympic Greco-Roman wrestling team and now coaches youth and college wrestling.
